The software is a purely web based application that can be opened with nearly any modern browser. Any users or organizations do not need to install any hardware or software. Nevertheless some minimum requirements should be fulfilled in order to be able to work quickly and efficiently with the system.
A connection download speed of 1024 kByte is recommended but depending on the amount of data you are working with, it is feasible with less bandwidth.
The following browsers have been tested:
Firefox 3.0+
Internet explorer 7.0 and 8.0 in compatibility mode (but known issues with downloads)
Firefox is recommended, but good compatibility with the following browsers should be given:
Safari 3+
Opera 9+ (PC, Mac)
Google Chrome
Besides the pure download time of the pages and the data, the speed of the end user computer can have a significant impact on the speed of showing e.g. the data for tables with many data entries, due to the heavy use of Java script. Showing e.g. 2000 data entries in a table with many data fields can last 4 times more with a slow machine. Therefore it is recommended to set the maximum of shown records in a table to 50 records. Nevertheless you can also set it to 5000 if it is more convenient for your way of working.
